Core technology : Puri-Prep based Ion concentration polarization technology

The core technology of CALTH is based on ion concentration polarization (ICP), or so-called nanoelectrokinetics. Utilizing this ICP or nanoelectrokinetic phenomena, we can collect biomolecules simply by modulating electric fields.

  • · Simple operation of ICP by modulating an electric field applied across ion perm-selective membranes.

  • · 100-fold enhancement in concentration of the biomolecule(e.g., proteins, oligonucleotides)

  • · Enhanced sensitivity via simple sample preconcentrations

  • · Applicable for various sample types (e.g., blood, urine, and saliva)

  • · Applicable for a highly sensitive POCT platform

DNA/RNA preparation Technology

In molecular diagnostics, extraction and sample preparation of DNA/RNA from blood, saliva and tears are essential. However, lower efficiency, tedious and time-consuming is critical hurdles in precision medicine and molecular diagnostics.
Utilizing ICP technology, we suggest an innovative sample preparation tool that can extract DNA/RNA within 5 minutes regardless of the type of biofluid samples.
